The highway reopened shortly after 3 p.m.
ASHMONT - The St. Paul Fire Department has noted a "major ongoing emergency incident" is taking place near Range Road 115, along Highway 28.
The highway is currently closed. The fire department announced the closure shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3.
The location is west of the intersection at Highway 36 and Highway 28, near the community of Ashmont.
