BONNYVILLE - On Friday evening, a Winter Festival hosted by the Bonnyville Friendship Centre included a wide array of activities from a re-enactment of a Treaty signing, sleigh rides and shinny hockey tournament for youth, along with dance and musical performances throughout the evening.
All activities were free of charge for those who attended, including food and hot beverages. The winter event took place outdoors on the grounds of the Bonnvyille and District Centennial Centre.
Concluding the evening was a firework display that lit up the night sky shortly after 8 p.m. Those who stayed until the very end, watched the firework show from their vehicles, and the nearby ice rink and park.
