LAKELAND - Roads in the Lakeland are in icy condition, as a mix of rain and snow fall.
The Elk Point Fire Department says Highway 646 between Range Road 61 and Range Road 44 to the east is closed "due to terrible driving conditions."
The department noted that over seven vehicles are in the ditch along the stretch of highway. The department recommends people stay off the roads if possible.
According to Environment Canada, a winter storm warning is still in place. Freezing rain is expected this evening, followed by heavy snow which may last until Sunday morning.
Snowfall of 10cm to 15 cm is expected.
