LAC LA BICHE - Lac La Biche RCMP are asking residents to highlight May 18 on their calendars as the local detachment is hosting a community event at the Bold Center.
With a few scheduling and activity specifics still left to iron out, RCMP officials say they will be having barbecue goodies and beverages as well as displays and demonstrations from several RCMP services like the K-9 unit and special operations vehicles.
The event will have something for the whole family.
In past years, the open house and barbecue has been held each year at the local detachment. This year's event is moving to the Bold Center to allow for more people to attend and see more of the services the RCMP have access to.
Information on the awareness day and community barbecue will be updated as it becomes available.
