Just before 2 p.m today, Lac La Biche and provincial RCMP released a statement on last Thursday night's discovery of a body located in a Lac La Biche home.
On March 10, 2022 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Lac La Biche RCMP received a report of a deceased female found at a residence on Churchill Drive in Lac La Biche.
Lac La Biche RCMP have called in Alberta RCMP Major Crimes who are assisting with the investigation. The deceased has been identified as a 21-year-old female from Lac La Biche.
The cause of death and circumstances around the 21-year-old female’s death remains under investigation. The deceased is currently at the Edmonton Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and an autopsy is scheduled for today.
