LAC LA BICHE - RCMP are reporting on Wednesday morning that a 12-year-old girl who had been missing since Monday morning, has been located safe and unharmed.
The girl, a grade 8 student at Aurora Middle School, had not been in contact with family since she was last seen in Lac La Biche at 8 a.m. on Monday.
Staff at the girl's school issued an information bulletin to parents on Tuesday, letting them know that counselling services would be available for any student having difficulty with the incident that they said had occurred outside of school hours.
In their statement on Wednesday, local police thanked the media and the public for providing information that can help to locate missing people.
There were no details given by police about where the 12-year-old had been for two days.
