ST. PAUL - Police are hoping the public can help track down suspects related to a number of break and enters that happened since the start of the month.

One suspect, who was caught on surveillance camera, appeared to be wearing "hazmat" style coveralls in a Dec. 1 incident. RCMP say several break and enters and attempts to break and enter happened along 50th Avenue in St. Paul.

At about 8:05 a.m. on Dec. 1, St. Paul RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter to a business located on 50th Avenue and 40th Street.

"The investigation has determined that between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. suspects entered onto the property and caused damage while gaining entry into out-buildings and a vehicle situated on the property," according to RCMP.

"A suspect was observed on video surveillance and is seen wearing white 'hazmat' style, coveralls," say police.

More break-ins reported days later

Less than a week later, on Dec. 6, St. Paul RCMP responded to reports of three attempted break and enters that had happened overnight.

"These attempts occurred along 50th Avenue, between 50th Street and 44th Street, at two business and one residence.

A fourth report on Dec. 6 of a break and enter to a business on 51 Avenue, between 50 Street and 49 Street was also reported.

Two suspects were seen on video surveillance at approximately 4:30 a.m. gaining entry to a business. The suspects were again wearing hazmat style coveralls and fled the scene with the cash register containing an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.

"St. Paul RCMP attended each scene and the investigations are ongoing with the assistance of RCMP Forensic Identification Services," according to police.

RCMP also believe the same suspects may be connected to an earlier report on Nov. 30 at about 11:30 p.m. where a suspect was observed trying door handles on a garage near 42 Street and 48 Avenue.

"The suspect in that report had been similarly dressed as the two suspects being sought; however, patrols to locate the suspect were unsuccessful."

Police are asking the public and local businesses in the area to review security footage for Dec. 6 from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., and Dec. 1 between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. in an effort to identify the suspects.
