**By 2 p.m., most outages in the immediate St. Paul area appear to have been resolved.

*An updated restoration time of 12 p.m. has now be set for the larger St. Paul outage. The time is an estimate.
A large rural area in the County of St. Paul is also reportedly affected with an estimated time of restoration set for this afternoon.
Many students from Racette Jr. High School have now been sent home early.
ST. PAUL - ATCO crews have been assigned to a large power outage in St. Paul, but as of Wednesday at 9 a.m., the exact cause of the outage was not yet confirmed.
According to the ATCO website, "We are currently experiencing a higher than normal frequency of outages in the ATCO Electric service territories. Ice and broken lines are impacting our ability to predict estimated restoration times."
The ATCO outage map shows an assessment is underway and that a restoration time for the large area of St. Paul is set at 10:30 a.m., while a small area on the southwest side of town notes a restoration time of 12:30 p.m. About 1,000 customers are affected by the outages within St. Paul.
The St. Paul area shows a total of four current power outages on the ATCO map, with many other outages scattered throughout the region.
On Wednesday morning, the Town of St. Paul put out a reminder on social media to let motorists know to treat intersections with traffic lights along main street that were not working due to the outage as four-way stops.
St. Paul Education confirmed that the main power was out at Racette Jr. High School, but backup power was working at the Grade 6 to 9 school and the school remains open.
Glen Avon School, St. Paul Elementary, St. Paul Regional High School and SPAEC have not been affected by the power outage.
