ST. PAUL – On Dec. 17, figure skaters from the St. Paul Figure Skating Club performed before a crowd, showcasing their skills and talent on the ice.
"We just wanted to showcase our hard-working skaters and their coaches for all the hard work they've done this year," said Celeste Bilodeau, treasurer of the club's board, adding it was nice to have the community come and see what the club does.
"And hopefully [it] encourages more little ones to come and skate with us."
During the event, the club also collected donations for the St. Paul Food Bank, and Bilodeau thanked all those who donated.
She also thanked the individuals and organizations who supported the club since the beginning of this year's ice skating season, including École du Sommet and the St. Paul Fire Department, who helped them procure equipment.
