Three arrested on Highway 2 in vehicle stolen from Elk Point

LAKELAND - Two people from Frog Lake and one man from Saddle Lake are facing charges after the Leduc RCMP Integrated Traffic Unit received a complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 2, northbound.

RCMP responded to the call at about 12:25 p.m. on Sept. 29.

Patrols were made in the area, and the vehicle was located parked on the shoulder of Highway 2 near the Kavanagh Flyover, according to RCMP. Further investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen out of Elk Point.

Two men and one woman were arrested without incident. The female was taken to hospital as a precaution and released back into police custody once cleared.  

Geraldine Moocheweines, 37, of Frog Lake was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and fail to comply with release order. She was released to appear in Leduc Provincial Court Nov. 12.

Ronald Monias, 43, of Frog Lake was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000. He was released to appear in Leduc Provincial Court on Nov. 12.

Howard Mcgilvery, 56, of Saddle Lake was also charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000. He was released to appear in Leduc Provincial Court on Nov. 12.
