Glendon boys and St. Paul girls win senior SPAA basketball banners

GLENDON - It came down to the teams from Glendon and St. Paul Regional High School battling it out for both the boys' and girls' St. Paul Athletics Association (SPAA) banners on March 5.

GLENDON - It came down to the teams from Glendon and St. Paul Regional High School battling it out for both the boys' and girls' St. Paul Athletics Association (SPAA) banners on March 5.

Glendon School hosted the championship games, with the girls' teams hitting the court first. In the end, St. Paul Regional High School would claim the banner with a 47-35 win over Glendon.

Then, the boys' teams hit the court in an intense match-up. Winning 44-41, the Glendon boys would claim this year's SPAA basketball banner.

The basketball season is nearing the end now, as some teams from the region head to NEASAA zones March 14-15 in various locations across northeastern Alberta.
