ST. PAUL - The St. Paul Bengals reign supreme as the 2023 champions of the Wheatland Bantam Football League, after a nail-biting showdown with long-time rivals, the Bonnyville Bandits.
The Bandits at one point led 13-1. But consecutive touchdowns by the Bengals allowed them to turn the momentum, ultimately securing their second consecutive championship in a razor-thin 14-13 victory on their home field, Nov. 4.
