TORONTO — Neil Young & Crazy Horse are taking a "big unplanned break" from their tour after some of the rockers fell ill.

The band cancelled all remaining dates for the Love Earth Tour, which had been set to stop at venues across the United States and Canada, including at Ottawa Bluesfest, where The Offspring will headline in their stead.

A statement posted to Young's website Wednesday says a few of the performers got sick after a show in Detroit in May and they have yet to fully recover.

The statement on Young's website says the band will try to make up some of the dates they miss when they are "ready to rock again."

Neil Young & Crazy Horse had previously postponed shows that were scheduled for late May.

The statement did not say who in the band had become ill.
