OHL playoffs: Ritchie lifts Generals to 7-2 win over Bulldogs

OSHAWA — Calum Ritchie scored twice, Colby Barlow had a goal and two assists, and the Oshawa Generals got back into their Ontario Hockey League playoff series with a 7-2 win over the visiting Brantford Bulldogs on Tuesday at the Tribute Communities Centre.

Luca D'Amato, Noah Powell, Ben Danford and Zackary Sandhu also scored for the Generals, who now trail the second-round, best-of-seven series 2-1. Luca Marrelli and Owen Griffin each chipped in with two assists.

Dylan Tsherna and Patrick Thomas scored for the Bulldogs, who trailed 3-1 after the first period and 5-2 heading into the third.

The Generals outshot the Bulldogs 41-21 and went 2-for-8 on the power play. The Bulldogs were 0-for-4 with the man advantage.

Game 4 is Thursday in Oshawa.

KINGSTON, Ont. — Cedrick Guindon scored twice as the Kingston Frontenacs beat the visiting Barrie Colts 5-3.

Frontenacs goaltender Charlie Schenkel stopped 22 of 25 shots.
