The family of Michael "Mike" Gary Allen of Bonnyville, Alberta is deeply saddened to announce his unexpected passing on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the age of 76 years.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are his wife of 49 years: Pauline Allen; daughters: Nicole Allen (Trevor Oakes), Chantelle (André) Caron; treasured grandchildren: Avery, Forest, Addison, Archer; brothers: Jack (Patricia) Allen, Gerry (Marge) Allen; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law and friends.
We take great comfort in knowing Mike lived a full life, loving the time he spent with family and friends and in nature hunting, fishing, camping, and feeding the birds. He had a knack for finding humour at every turn and his mischievous side brought so much laughter over the years. We will carry on his legacy by keeping his sense of humor alive in our hearts, sharing laughter and stories that honor him.
As per Mike's wishes, a private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in memory of Mike may be sent to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute.
