Bernice Ann Louise Capjack, daughter to Mike and Doris Capjack (deceased) was born on February 29, 1948 and passed away on October 1, 2024 in Elk Point Alberta, where she lived her entire life. Bernice loved her town and was always organizing or attending events in Elk Point with her very close friends. 

Bernice taught school most of her life, even after retirement, she subbed every day she could. Bernice loved to keep busy, working, playing ball, curling, writing, joining town council, singing with her friends, playing cards and of course spending time with her 3 Grandsons. 

Bernice’s family and friends meant the world to her. She always enjoyed entertaining and cooking for everyone. 

Bernice was a world of joy and laughter and will be deeply missed by Tammy and Robin; 3 grandsons who always made her smile, Connor (Alisha), Keeling (Maria) and Carter; brother, Michael (Kathy), along with their children Adele (Ashish), Adam (Megan) and grandchildren (Max, Nora, Lily, Sophia, Oliver) who adored Auntie Bernice and would always have her over when she wasn’t making the trip to Calgary to see her grandsons; her sister, Gladys (Mitch) along with their children, Landon (Janet), Sky (Suzie) and grandchildren (Sabylla, Watt, Tavin, Stella, Clay, Lane) will all miss Auntie Bernice. 

Bernice leaves behind a legacy of stories and fun memories that her family and friends will cherish forever. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Elk Point Seniors Centre (Pioneer Circle), Elk Point with Pastor Kelly Sibley officiating. Lunch to follow. A private family inurnment will take place at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Northern Valley. Cremation has taken place.
