Dr. F. Roland Decosse passed away peacefully at his home in Victoria B.C. on November 15, 2023 at the age of 103. Predeceased by son Paul, wife Margaret and daughter Louise, Roland is survived by his children: Michelle, Simone and Bernard and partner Cathy; son in law Stuart; fve grandsons and their partners: Nicholas and Kate, Benjamin, Zacharia and Ilona, Stefan and Erin, and Jonathan and Kate; four great grandchildren: Délia, Ania, Olie and Ruby; nephew Bernard Dupuis and wife Joan; nieces Suzanne and partner Pat Bulmer, and Louise and partner Ian Scott; many Helgason and other cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Roland practised medicine in St. Paul for 40 years, retiring in 1986 and moving to Victoria, B. C. in 1998. Roland was an avid birder and spent his 80’s and 90’s travelling to all corners of the world. He will be greatly missed.
