Orest Robert Fedorus of Sherwood Park, Alberta, formerly of Elk Point, Alberta passed away at the age of 90 on the morning of Monday, October 21, 2024. He was surrounded in his room at Heritage House in Capital Care Strathcona by his wife of 65 years, Myrna; children Laura (Garth) Cline; Anna (Dale) Silver and his sister Connie Moritz. He was dearly loved by his three grandchildren Grace Silver, Nicholas Silver and Thomas Cline, who all currently reside in Ontario.
Orest is survived by 4 sisters: Mary Hyshka, Iris Drapaka, Cornelia “Connie” Moritz and Adelia “Adele” Dahrouge; 2 sisters-in-law: Donna Fedorus and Marvia Hickli; and 1 brother-in-law Don (Marlane) Valentine as well as their families and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Orest was predeceased by his parents Louis and Jenny (Foti) Fedorus, his only brother Ollie Fedorus; sisters Sidonia “Donna” Fuog Sherwood, Olea “Olga” Martin, and infant Christine; nieces Jacqueline Fedorus and Linda Marchuk; brothers-in-law Metro Hyshka, Harry Drapaka, William Moritz, J.R. Dahrouge and Hans Hickli.
As were his wishes, cremation will take place, and no formal funeral will be held. Donations may be made to Parkinson’s or “Haying in the 30’s”.
He was dearly loved and has left us with many wonderful memories. May he now rest in peace and remain forever in our hearts.
