John (Johann) Giesbrecht of Lac La Biche joined his parents and many siblings in the kingdom of Heaven on January 8, 2025 at the age of 88. As he would have wished, he was surrounded by his loving wife and family when he left this world.

John is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Germaine Giesbrecht of Lac La Biche; children, Nat (Sheryl) Giesbrecht of Gull Lake, AB, Nadine (Gerry) Terpstra of Red Deer, Nola (Derrick) Kruk of Lac La Biche,Noreen (Darren) Ward of Calgary; grandchildren, Rashel (Grady) Pilon, Joel (Charlene) Giesbrecht, Bryson Kruk & Blake Kruk; great-grandchildren, Titus, Atlas, Ezra, Roman, Emmett & Olivia; sisters, Martha (Ruben) Remple of Borden, SK, Anna (Norman) Mumma of Elida, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Larry Fullerton of Big Lake, Minnesota, Al Newton of Sundre, AB; step-siblings, Bill Epp of Rabbit Lake, SK, Henry (Betty) Epp of Rosthern, SK, Liz (Greg) Baerwald of Rosthern, SK, Peter (Dorothy) Epp of Medstead, SK, Ike (Priscilla) Epp of Medstead, SK, Agnes (Dick) Wiebe of Ponoka, AB, Anne Epp of Saskatoon, SK; as well as numerous brothers & sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. John is predeceased by his parents, Jacob & Aganetha Giesbrecht; step-father, John C. Epp; brothers, Jake Giesbrecht, Peter Giesbrecht; sisters, Helen Fullerton, Maria Bergen, Margaret Newton; brother-in-law, Jake Bergen; niece, Annette Bergen; sister-in-law, Mary Giesbrecht; step-brothers & sisters-in-law, Mary Epp, Helen & Bill Bueckert & Jake Epp.

Funeral Service Monday, January 13, 2025 at 11:00 A.M at the Evangelical Free Church, Lac La Biche with Pastor Emmanuel Chiwele officiating with interment in the Evangelical Free Church Cemetery to follow.
