It is with heavy hearts the family of Josephine Homeniuk announce the passing of the family matriarch at the age of 93 years and 11 months.

She will be remembered by her daughters Connie (Zennie) Zatorski and Edith (Rick), and her son Kenneth Homeniuk, ten grandchildren: Doug (Jenn), Darla (Brent), Tyler (Shanna), Kealey (Clayton), Nikki (Les), Chance, Marcia, Justin (Maria), Chelsey (Jordan),Deanna (Derek); twelve great grandchildren: Landyn, Kylie, Robbie, Chloe, Barrett, Jake, Ally, Bryn, Cersei, Seneca, Bryson and Larissa.

She will also be remembered by sisters Elsie Boychuk and Sylvia Geraldi, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter (2001), parents Peter and Rose Koltowski, Parent- In- Law Wasyl and Katherine Homeniuk, brothers in law and sisters in law.

Josephine was an accomplished gardener, cook, and seamstress. She volunteered for many community organizations in and around her community of Grassland and found great joy in those activities. Her greatest love was her family.Each was special and she took time to know everything about them and great pride in all that they did making sure that each knew that as well.

The family would like to thank all those who visited or phoned and assisted her in her final years as she remained in her home.

As per Josephine’s wishes, a private family service will be held with Evergreen Funeral Home and she will be laid to rest in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton.
