It is with profound sadness that the family of Julianna ‘’Julie’’ Popyk announces her passing on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the age of 76 years.
Julie, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister will be forever remembered and loved by her husband of 57 years: Robert “Bob” Popyk; children: Debbie (Russel) Waskiewich, Annette Supruniuk, Joe (Kyla) Popyk; grandchildren: Christy (Clint) Vick, Sarah (Kyle) Ens, Laura Waskiewich, Curt Supruniuk, Ross Supruniuk, Cayden Popyk, Amara Popyk; great grandchildren: Gunnar & Wylie Tomm; brothers: Jim (Mary) Strumecki, Julian (Judy) Strumecki, Jerry (Margaret) Strumecki, Joe (Linda) Strumecki her godmother; Auntie Mary Strumecki as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Julie was predeceased by her grandson: Ryan Waskiewich; parents: Frank & Sophie Strumecki; infant brother: Johnny Strumecki.
A private family service was held on Wednesday, March 19, 2020, at Northern Lights Funeral Chapel. Interment took place on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Holy Family Cemetery. A Memorial Service for Julie will take place at a later date. Memorial tributes in memory of Julie may be sent to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 110-1525 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, ON, K1Z 8R9.
