MISCHUK, Jennie
With profound heartbreak and sadness, we announce that Jennie Mischuk’s heart unexpectantly gave out and she passed on July 31, 2024, at the age of 79 years.
Jennie was born in Blue Jay, County of Athabasca, AB on September 27, 1944. She was fiercely independent and lived a fulfilling life that, in her later years, included gardening, quilting, and spending time with her family, lovely neighbors and friends.
Jennie is survived by her sisters, Olga and Anna (Allan); sister-in-law, Gayle; numerous nieces and nephews, some of whom considered her a second mother; and her much loved cat, Sheshe. She was predeceased by her father, Kliment; mother, Maria; sister, Halina (Daniel); and brothers, Alec and Nick (Gloria).
A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Park Memorial. Cremation has taken place, and she will be inurned with her father and mother at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Edmonton, AB.
