Kenneth George Murphy from Mundare Alberta, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 67, at his home.
Ken was born November 13, 1956 in Golden B.C in the same hometown of his late father. Ken was the eldest of 4 children, and the only son born to Edward and Florence (nee Ladouceur) Murphy.
Ken was always on the go. He lived between British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba throughout his life. He eventually settled in Mundare, Alberta, a few years prior to his passing. Early in Ken’s life he obtained his Class 1 driver’s license in in Lac La Biche, Alberta. He was an accomplished Long-Haul Truck Driver and Log hauler in Northern Alberta. He was the owner and operator of a trucking business in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Ken was a jack of all trades. He always had a project on the go. He enjoyed working on vehicles, fixing small engines, and tinkering around in the garden and his home.Ken is predeceased by both of his parents, Edward and Florence (nee Ladouceur) Murphy, his sister Shirley (nee Murphy) Nelson, multiple aunts and uncles, and recently his uncle Victor Ladouceur.
Ken is survived by his five children; Albert, Kenneth (Shay), Angelina (Clinton), Edward (Julia), and Arlene; 15 Grandchildren; Jasmine, Braydan, Elliott, Dalston, Jade, Kayla, Sarah, Jared, Lee, Emmarie, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Kensley, and Evan; 2 sisters; Patricia and Jeannette (Dewey); and Aunt Verna Lena Pezderic (nee Ladouceur). Ken will be missed by his children, grandchildren, sisters, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and Friends are invited to a celebration of life in Lac la Biche Alberta on July 6, 2024 at Noon. McAurthur Place- 10307-100 Street, Lac La Biche, Alberta. A light lunch with coffee and tea will be served. Everyone is welcome to join a graveside service at the old Mission Graveyard, where the family will place Ken next to his sister, Shirely Nelson. Father Adrian Tumanda, from St. Catherine’s Church, in Lac La Biche, Alberta will officiate the graveside service.
