PUBLIC NOTICE TO ELECTORS OF LAC LA BICHE COUNTY, PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TAKE NOTICE that the Council of Lac La Biche County, in the Province of Alberta, has given first reading to borrowing Bylaw No. 24-025 which will, upon final passage and approval, authorize the proper officers of Lac La Biche County to borrow monies from the Province of Alberta or another authorized financial institution by way of debenture(s) issued for the municipal purpose of financing the Lac La Biche County Emergency Vehicle Operations (EVOC) Facility Development Project currently planned for in the 2024 Budget. The financing required for the aforesaid project amounts to Four Million and Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,200,000). This amount is the net amount of financing required by Lac La Biche County. The term of the loan will be ten (10) years, with the maximum rate of interest of the loan to not exceed seven percent (7%). THEREFORE, NOTICE is hereby given by the Council of Lac La Biche County that, unless a petition of the electors for a vote on Bylaw No. 24-025 is demanded, as provided for in Section 231 and Sections 219-226 of the Municipal Government Act, Lac La Biche County Council may pass the said bylaw. This Bylaw, and related information, may be viewed on the County’s website at: www.laclabichecounty.com/p/statutory-notices Or in person at the Lac La Biche County office at First Floor, McArthur Place, 10307–100 Street, Lac La Biche from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Questions about the bylaw itself may be directed to the Acting Associate Chief Administrative Officer of Finance, Ms. Hafsah Moghrabi, at (780) 623-6358 (email: hafsah.moghrabi@ laclabichecounty.com) during office hours. All persons interested are hereby notified of this bylaw’s status and their right to submit a petition in respect of it and they are required to govern themselves accordingly.
