LAKELAND - With food supplies running very low, a Bellis area man is hoping area residents will once again step forward with donations to help care for as many as 12 dogs still living on a rural property following the death of their owner in October.
Toby Neuendorf said Thursday he was down to the last bag of donated food to feed the dogs and now worries about the next steps. He’s been caring for the animals ever since the property owner passed away. Several generous donations of food have literally been lifesaving for the dogs and Neuendorf said he has found human kindness to be very much in evidence.
He is still hopeful there are people that can provide homes for the animals. With no room in animal shelters and the food supply dwindling down to nothing, he is increasingly worried the future looks bleak for the dogs.
Neuendorf is eager to hear from anyone that can lend a hand. Please call him at 825-526-3622 or email: [email protected]
