Racette Jr. High and Regional High School race to the finish for cross country banners

ROSS LAKE - Students from across the St. Paul Athletics Association (SPAA) region came together at Ross Lake on Sept. 26 to compete in this year's cross country running championship.

Students from Grade 6 to Grade 12 took to the trails, located within Whitney Lakes Provincial Park, for several races. The fall weather offered a great backdrop for the runners.

As the day wrapped up, Racette Jr. High School from St. Paul would claim the boys' and girls' junior SPAA banners, while St. Paul Regional High School would win the boys' and girls' senior SPAA banners.

Medals and ribbons were also handed out to the top finishers in each category.
