ST. PAUL – Every year, hundreds of letters addressed to Santa Claus leave the St. Paul Municipal Library bound for the North Pole, according to Monique Poulin, the library coordinator. They travel in bundles – stamped, sorted, and sealed with good wishes from children in the community.
Santa writes back and delivers his replies in person at the library. This year, over 80 people visited the library on Dec. 14 to see the man in red and his elf, Snowflake.
For those who dropped off their letter at the library but missed Santa's visit, Poulin said there is still time to grab their letter and see Santa's response. The library will hold letters until Dec. 21. The St. Paul Municipal Library will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 22 to 26.
