ST. PAUL - The St. Paul 4-H Beef Project kicked off the season with a beef weigh-in on Nov. 13, 2023.
This year, the project includes 15 beef members. During the weigh-in, each member brought their steer to the St. Paul Ag Barn where they were weighed then stalled.
After, members did an activity, where they measured the hip height of their animals and found their frame score. With this, they were able to find the estimated finishing weight of each steer.
The group has planned a calf tour for Feb. 2.
