ST. PAUL – The annual 2025 St. Paul Shiver Fest launched on Feb. 14 and will run until Feb. 17 on Family Day.
Kicking off Shiver Fest was curling, skating, and shinny hockey activities for families at the Clancy Richard Arena and St. Paul Curling Club on Feb. 14.
There is still plenty of weekend events the community can enjoy, such as a $3 public swimming at the St. Paul Aquatic Centre on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m, and then St. Lina Ag Society's Family Dance in St. Lina later that evening at 5 p.m.
On Feb. 16, the St. Paul Visual Arts Centre is holding an open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a variety of artistic demonstrations during the open house.
If community members are up for it, the Town of St. Paul is also offering free family movies at the Elite Theatre at 3:45 p.m., which offers a way to stay warm and cozy.
On Feb. 17, the St. Paul Regional Family and Community Support Services is hosting its FCSS Family Fun at the Reunion Station from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
While the outdoor aspect of the event have been cancelled due to the cold weather that has blanketed the area for several days, "We will go ahead with the indoor activities regardless of temperature," said FCSS Director Brenda Billo. "[We] are excited to bring families and [the] community together."
