Young artists express creativity during St. Paul art camp

ST. PAUL – For young minds, art is a pathway to growth and a crucial component of development - often seen as an outlet allowing young minds the opportunity to express themselves.

Last week, the St. Paul Visual Arts Centre held a two-day youth art camp, allowing youth in the community to manifest their creativity. During the camp, participating youths were exposed to various forms of painting, like acrylic, watercolour, and oil pastel painting.

Pam Bohn, the art instructor for the camp, also has a background in early childhood. For several years, she taught playschool and ran a day home. Kids, she says, “love creating and making things.”

“There’s nothing holding them back,” and it’s important to help them get that creativity flowing, she adds.
