FORT KENT - Outdoor skating rinks in the area were getting some use on Boxing day, after the MD of Bonnyville announced the opening of the Fort Kent and Cherry Grove outdoor rinks.

The MD said the Ardmore rink will be up and running soon, and that the Parks staff will be placing lines on the rink in the new year.

Leo Michaud brought his shovel to clear the ice at the Fort Kent rink for his family to enjoy some skating and a bit of hockey, while his gandson Zayne Eddamni carved up the ice.
