BONNYVILLE - The Beaver River Beef 4-H Club held its club show on May 11 at the Bonnyville Rodeo Grounds.
It was an exciting day as 4-H members had the opportunity to show off their hard work.
Since October, the 33 members of the Beaver River Beef 4-H Club have been busy feeding their projects, making sure their animals had enough nutrients to grow, and that they had the best care. In addition to feeding their animals, members also learned to wash and groom their animals as well as use the best products to help their steers look their finest.
Finally, members were able to show off their animals and showmanship skills in the show ring while being judged.
Congratulations to Hudson Martindale for winning grand champion steer, and to Luke Brundige for winning reserve champion steer.
The Beaver River 4-H club was honoured to have Evan Patriquin as their confirmation Judge, Brynne Yoder as their showmanship and grooming Judge, Hailey Lobe, last year's 4-H president, as the emcee, and Raelynn Nelson, also a former 4-H member, as a ringwoman and Jason Babb as ringman.
If you are interested in purchasing any of these Grade A Alberta Beef animals to help support local 4-H members please come out to The Bonnyville District Show and Sale happening on May 31 at the Bonnyville Rodeo Grounds.
The sale will start at 7 p.m. with in-person or online bidding at www.dlms.ca.
