Bonnyville Fall Fair attracts a crowd

The Bonnyville Fall Fair and Farmer's Market took place over two days on Sept. 14 and 15.

BONNYVILLE - The Bonnyville Fall Fair and Farmer's Market took place over two days on Sept. 14 and 15.

Over 150 market vendors were set up indoors and outdoors at the Bonnyville Rodeo Grounds, offering a variety of goods, from homemade bath bombs, to homegrown fresh vegetables and canned goods. The market was organized by the Bonnyville Farmers' Market.

Elsewhere on the grounds, a barbecue competition took place organized by Big Smoke Bonnyville. Winners were announced Saturday afternoon, which included Slam Dunk BBQ as reserve champions and No Measures BBQ as grand champion. Several other awards were handed out in different categories.

A petting zoo also kept children busy, along with food, ice cream, games, and more.

And despite some muddy conditions, a ranch rodeo, Indian relays, and other exciting activities took place on the race track, with stands filled with spectators.
