BONNYVILLE - The Bonnyville General Investigation Section (GIS), with assistance of the Bonnyville RCMP, have laid charges after seizing drugs and cash from a local residence.
On April 29, GIS executed a search warrant at a residence in town. Among the items seized were over three grams of suspected heroin, over 185 grams of illicit cannabis, approximately 100 Xanax pills, numerous unidentified prescription pills, $1,600 in cash, drug paraphernalia consistent with trafficking, and a homemade tazer.
Thirty-three year-old Daryll R. Lambert of Bonnyville has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Xanax, possession of heroin, possession of proceeds of crime, and possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling, contrary to the Cannabis Act.
Lambert was released and is scheduled to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on July 21.
