BONNYVILLE RCMP REPORT: Female arrested after stealing a vehicle and driving intoxicated.

BONNYVILLE - A female was arrested for stealing a vehicle and driving intoxicated. 

A complainant contacted Bonnyville RCMP on April 16 after a female stole his vehicle while visiting his residence. The complainant claimed the woman was driving intoxicated. 

Officers located and arrested the female for taking the vehicle without consent, and after providing a sample of her breath, was deemed impaired. 

She was arrested and released on a promise to appear in court. 

Stolen truck

A rural property owner reported his 2006 Ford F350 as stolen on April 17. 

The blue truck was taken from his driveway on Range Rd. 465 near Twp. Rd. 611. 

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact police. 

Break-in reported a week later

Police are investigating a break-in at a seasonal property after an off-duty Edmonton Police Services member checking cabins near Minnie Lake found several sheds were broken into. 

A green John Deere model D110 tractor was stolen. 

Nothing of value stolen from Lakeland Respiratory lot

Calls came in to RCMP after a property belonging to Lakeland Respiratory was entered on April 19. Suspects rummaged through multiple campers in the yard with one door damaged. 

Nothing of value was taken from the property and the suspect was scared off by police driving by.

Drinking and driving results in fines

A 22-year-old Bonnyville female is without her license after she was caught driving under the influence on April 22.

The female had reported a two vehicle collision to police, and during the investigation, she failed a standard sobriety test. 

Her vehicle was seized for 30-days and she has received a $1,000 fine and an automatic licence suspension. 

Man driving while suspended

While conducting a traffic initiative on Lakeshore Dr., an officer pulled over a driver who was on their cellphone. 

The 43-year-old Bonnyville male was suspended and the vehicle was uninsured and unregistered. 

The vehicle was towed and the driver received violation tickets.
