BONNYVILLE - Residents in Bonnyville who want to take a dip in the pool will have to travel outside the community as the town's swimming pool is closed until further notice.
On Oct. 8, Town of Bonnyville council approved replacing the facility's boilers, which had reached the end of their lifespan, requiring replacement. The issue was noticed after the completion of an inspection process.
"The estimated time for re-opening for the Bonnyville Swimming Pool is tentatively set for the beginning of December," reads information from the Town of Bonnyville. "Pool staff will be reaching out to patrons who have already registered for swimming lessons."
Refunds will be provided, according to information from the Town. Anyone who has not been contacted by the pool staff can call 780-826-4065.
A reopening date will be announced later.
"We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause," says the Town.
