Impaired driver charged by RCMP on Highway 41

A 54-year-old man from the County of St. Paul region is facing impaired driving charges after a witness noticed a suspect vehicle swerving on Highway 41.

BONNYVILLE - A 54-year-old man from the County of St. Paul region is facing impaired driving charges after a witness noticed a suspect vehicle swerving on Highway 41, near Township Road 622. 

RCMP were dispatched to the call regarding a suspected impaired driver at about 9:45 p.m. on Oct. 5 

“The witness indicated the driver of the suspect vehicle was swerving so much he nearly hit the ditch,” according to RCMP. Police were able to locate the vehicle.   

The driver failed a roadside device and was issued provincial sanctions for impaired driving.  

“He was also charged under the Traffic Safety Act for driving an uninsured and unregistered motor vehicle," according to RCMP.
