Bonnyville RCMP found the body of a deceased male in the ditch beside Highway 657 near Kehewin Cree Nation on Friday. The body has been identified as Chaz Badger, a 19-year-old resident of Kehewin.
There were no apparent signs of trauma to the body, according to a RCMP press release. The body was transported to the Edmonton Medical Examiner's office to determine the cause of death.
“There was nothing for us that caused us any level of concern that this was a criminal act,” said Staff Sergeant Luis Gandolfi in an interview with the Nouvelle.
Anyone with information on the deceased's whereabouts on the evening of Jan. 27 or the morning of Jan. 28 are asked to contact Bonnyville RCMP at 826-3350.
