Man charged with three counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident in Bonnyville

A 55-year-old man was arrested after police received two separate calls regarding a pickup truck driving around the Sportsman Trailer park running into trailers and narrowly missing pedestrians.

BONNYVILLE - A 55-year-old man was arrested after police received two separate calls regarding a pickup truck driving around the Sportsman Trailer park running into trailers and narrowly missing pedestrians.

The calls came in at about 9:45 p.m. on May 17.

"Members attended and located the male they identified as the driver of the truck," according to RCMP. "He was believed to be impaired but the male refused to provide a breath sample." 

Barrydene Pasos of Bonnyville was arrested and charged with driving impaired, refusing to comply with a breath demand, dangerous operation of a vehicle, three counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and driving an uninsured motor vehicle. 

He was brought before a Justice of the Peace for a bail hearing and was released to appear in court on June 4.
