BONNYVILLE – After a decade of service to the Town of Bonnyville, CAO Bill Rogers will be retiring from his role as of Dec. 31.
The Town of Bonnyville announced the transition in leadership from Rogers to interim/acting CAO Renee Stoyles, the current General Manager of Corporate Services at the Town of Bonnyville.
“Bill has been a key leader in steering Bonnyville toward a prosperous future . . . Mayor and Council wish Bill Rogers all the best as he retires after a remarkable career dedicated to the Town of Bonnyville. His steady leadership and commitment have left an enduring impact, driving success across countless projects,” stated the announcement.
Mayor and council said they are grateful for Rogers' contributions, and wished him and his wife Veronica, the best.
“This wasn’t something I came to lightly,” Rogers expressed. “It felt like the right time for me, and I know I am leaving the Town in great hands.”
Taking on the role of acting CAO, Stoyles stated, “On behalf of Town staff and myself, I want to thank Bill for his dedication, wisdom and vision that have been invaluable to our team and to Bonnyville. Bill has been more than a leader - he’s been a mentor and friend who has inspired us to bring our best each day. We are incredibly grateful for his guidance these past few years and will carry forward the positive impact he’s made here.”
The Town of Bonnyville is confident in Stoyles’ ability to continue Roger’s legacy of progress.
“Her expertise and deep understanding of Bonnyville's goals make her an excellent choice to lead our municipality,” reads the statement.
