COLD LAKE - A Cold Lake man won a cool half a million dollars after playing LOTTO MAX.
Keith Puetz won $500,000 from the Aug. 13 draw.
"The Cold Lake winner said he was checking the numbers on WCLC’s website when he noticed there was a winner in Edmonton and immediately double-checked his ticket," according to information from the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.
Puetz said, “I was surprised to have won and even more surprised to be splitting it with another winner." He shares the MAXMILLIONS prize with a winning ticket purchased somewhere in the Atlantic provinces.
He admitted, “It feels good though."
Puetz said he was taking his winnings "straight to the bank," and added, “I’m not planning trips or anything with this money.”
He purchased his winning LOTTO MAX ticket at Circle K, located at 11105 87 Avenue NW in Edmonton.
The winning numbers for this MAXMILLIONS draw are: 13, 20, 26, 29, 30, 33, 35.
