LAKELAND – Around 3:30 p.m. on April 9, Cold Lake and Bonnyville RCMP blocked off a road at Highway 28 in the Range 444 area, to investigate a report about a male allegedly holding a weapon.
Alberta RCMP did not indicate what the weapon was, but clarified it was not a firearm.
“The male is in custody and there’s no danger to the public. The road should be re-opening promptly," said Cpl. Mathew Howell, public information officer with the Alberta RCMP.
