LAC LA BICHE – On April 19, people were able to enjoy an afternoon of fun activities at the Lac La Biche Mission as they celebrated Easter.
The 2025 edition of ‘Easter at the Mission’ took place at the historical site under bright, sunny skies.
People could put their artistic skills to use painting eggs, participating in an Easter egg hunt, and taking in the petting zoo that had been set up on the grounds.
With this year’s ‘Easter at the Mission’ being a held one day before Easter Sunday, the Easter Bunny was also in attendance, chatting with kids and having his picture taken with them.
The Lac La Biche Mission has been hosting ‘Easter at the Mission’ since 2023. The purpose of the event is to engage the community, bring families together, and promote the historical significance of the Mission. Money raised through the Easter-themed function goes back to the historical site, which hosts a variety of events throughout the year.
The event drew quite a few folks, including Lindsey Rosychuk, her two daughters, along with her sister and niece.
‘Easter at the Mission,’ Rosychuk said, is a nice Easter weekend event with good activities for children.
“It keeps the kids busy . . . occupies them,” she told Lakeland This Week.
