Edmonton blues and roots musician Sean Pinchin kicks off 2025 season of Music in the Forest concert series

The show took place on March 20 at the Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park community hall.

LAC LA BICHE – The 2025 season of the Music in the Forest concert series at Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park kicked off on March 20 with a performance by Edmonton-based blues and roots musician Sean Pinchin.

The show took place at the Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park community facility.

Pinchin has written and recorded several singles, including ‘Believer,’ which is about his fiancé Julia, ‘Spring Bee,’ a jam he made when learning to record multi tracks at home, as well as ‘Gonna Be OK,’ a song about staying positive and having hope during the COVID-19 lockdowns.

The audience that gathered was able to hear live versions of these tracks and many other songs.

For Pinchin, being the opening act for the 2025 season of the Music in the Forest series was great, especially on the first day of spring. Playing inside the community facility located close to the forests of the Lac La Biche area was also something he looked forward to.

“Being in Edmonton all the time now, it’s nice to break out and see some trees,” Pinchin said.

Playing in smaller venues as opposed to larger ones also makes it easier to interact with his audience.

The next show in the 2025 Music in the Forest concert series takes place on May 17 at the Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park campground ampitheatre, and features a performance by Lindsey Walker.
