Heavy police presence near Hylo Thursday evening

UDPATE: Lac La Biche RCMP has advised that all officers have cleared the scene near Hylo.

"We have searched the area of this incident thoroughly and we do not believe the suspects are in the area. Although the suspects were not located, we do not believe there is a risk to the community," reads information from RCMP received shortly after 9 p.m. on Sept. 5.

"We understand how situations such as this can make a community feel uneasy, but rest assured, your Alberta RCMP is working tirelessly to locate the suspects."

RCMP ask that the public remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or tips to the Lac La Biche RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

HYLO - Lac La Biche RCMP is advising the public of a heavy police presence near Hylo as they search for two suspects who fled from police earlier in the day on Thursday.

"There is a significant number of resources focused on apprehending these suspects and protecting the public," according to RCMP.

Police ask that people refrain from posting photos of responding officers on social media.

"We understand how situations such as this can make a community feel uneasy, but rest assured, your Alberta RCMP is working tirelessly to locate the suspects," according to information released by RCMP, Thursday evening.

"We ask that the public remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or tips to the Lac La Biche RCMP or Crime Stoppers."
