The Lac La Biche 15U AA Dodgers are continuing their regular season play on the diamonds until the end of July.
The Dodgers recently hosted other double-A teams from the northern division of the 32-team league, including the Fort McMurray Oil Giants, Parkland Twins, and the South Jasper Park Jays.The teams belong to Division 2 of the Baseball Alberta Provincial AA League, that includes squads from across the province including Okotoks, Drayton Valley, St. Albert, Calgary and Sherwood Park. It's the Dodgers' first year in the league.
The league runs a series of weekend jamboree-style tournaments throughout the season, with win and loss statistics making up the league standings.
The Dodgers won one and lost two at their recent weekend played at the Bold Center sports field diamonds. Going into July, the Dodgers are in seventeenth place of the 32-team league with a record of three wins and seven losses. The Dodgers play their last six games of the regular season over the next two weekend, with tournaments in Fort McMurray and Sherwood Park.
