The annual event took place at the Bold Center on Sunday, Oct. 27.

LAC LA BICHE - With Halloween fast approaching, the large group of kids and parents who came to the Bold Center on Sunday, Oct. 27 for the annual Spooktacular event got into the spirit for the season of spirits, ghosts, ghouls, witches, and monsters.

The frighteningly fun afternoon featured games, a magic show, a costume contest, as well as the opportunity to participate in zany and exciting science experiments.

Many of those youngsters who attended the 2024 edition of Spooktacular were dressed as popular film, video game, comic book, television, and anime characters, as well as iconic fictional monsters such as Frankenstein, Godzilla, and Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare on Elm Street film series.

There were also appearances by Mario of Super Mario Brothers fame as well as a more scaled down version of the infamous Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from the Ghostbusters franchise which kids got their pictures taken with.

The popular Halloween-themed Spooktacular event has been held in Lac La Biche since 2016.
