New Years' Eve an average night for Lac La Biche RCMP

Members of Lac La Biche RCMP attended 12 calls for service from 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve to 7 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

LAC LA BICHE - New Year’s Eve was a run-of-the-mill night for Mounties on duty in the Lac La Biche area.

According to Sgt. Trevor Cardinal of the Lac La Biche RCMP detachment, members attended 12 calls for service from 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve to 7 p.m. on New Year’s Day. Throughout the night, RCMP had roving check stops set up.

There were no collisions and nothing of significance was reported to police over the time period.

“It was an average night over all and a great way to start the year,” he told Lakeland This Week.
