BONNYVILLE - About $45,000 was raised for the Bonnyville Victim Services Society at last weekend's RCMP Regimental Ball.
Bonnyville RCMP hosted the Regimental Ball on Sept. 17, welcoming over 430 guests to the Centennial Centre Fieldhouse, including dignitaries, community members and RCMP members - both active and retired - from across the province.
The auction and fundraising portion of the night acted as a fundraiser for the Bonnyville Victim Services Society, and was deemed a success by organizers.
“I’d like to thank everyone that came out to support our event either by attending, making a donation or both," said Staff Sg.t Sarah Parke. "The support from our community members was off the charts making the evening all the more special."
The night was filled with RCMP tradition, plenty of opportunity to socialize, along with a dinner and dance. The RCMP Regimental Ball is held every five years in Bonnyville.
