Chasing a rainbow on Lac La Biche lake during Friday storms

Weekend storms create impressive views on Lac La Biche lake

Two large storm cells created wind and rain storms across the Lac La Biche region on Friday afternoon to start the weekend. The storms, both brief weather events, also brought some impressive visuals to the Lac La Biche region. In photos captured by the Lac La Biche newsroom, It appeared to be a lucky fishing trip for a boat crew who braved the storms and found a rainbow (not the trout-kind) as they trolled near the shoreline of Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park late Friday afternoon.

A short time later, as the second round  storm clouds moved across the region, bringing another dump of rain, they also offered ominous but impressive images over the region, including over the Golden Sands subdivision on the eastern shores of Lac La Biche lake.
